FORMER Arusha Urban Constituency MP for the ticket of the Party for Democracy and Development (CHADEMA), Godbless Lema, has found political asylum in Canada.

Lema left Kenya yesterday with his family for Canada where his lawyer, George Luchiri Wajackoyah, confirmed.

Last month, Lema was arrested by the Kenya Police Force for allegedly entering the country illegally and released shortly afterwards.

According to his lawyer, Lema, who is accompanied by his family, was on his way to Nairobi to seek temporary residence after claiming to have been threatened with death.
