That number makes Kenya a total of 1,029 Corona virus infections.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Kenya’s Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe said that among the 62 cases were Kenyans and two were foreign nationals.

Kenya received a reusable laboratory and testing equipment from Germany to help with Covid-19 infection while the number of transmission cases exceeded 1,000.

Mr Kagwe has also announced the extension of travel control to and from Eastleigh areas in Nairobi and Old Town Residences located on the Kenya-Mombasa coastline until June 6.

In recent times the Ministry of Health in Kenya has been announcing a high rate of Covid-19 infections in Mombasa County where yesterday alone recorded 27 cases, surpassing Nairobi’s city which recorded 20 cases.

On Monday new sites recorded new corona virus cases, including the counties of Taita Taveta, Garissa and Meru.
